Heike Trappe and Roland Rau named new editors of CPoS

2024-02-22

We are more than happy to announce our new editors Heike Trappe and Roland Rau who succeed Frans Willekens whose term ended in 2023. We want to express our gratitude for the good collaboration with Frans Willekens. It was always a pleasure to work with him and CPoS clearly profited from his dedication and expertise.

From 2024 onwards, we are breaking grounds: for the first time we are working together with two editors and we are very much looking forward to it. We are very glad for our two wonderful new editors.

Heike Trappe is Professor of Sociology at the University of Rostock with a focus on family demography. Since 2009 she has been a member of our board of reviewers and knows the journal well. The same is true for Roland Rau: He has also been a member of the board of reviewers for many years. Roland Rau is Professor of Demography at the University of Rostock with a focus on mortality and ageing as well as statistical methods.

Below a message from the new editors:

As the new co-editors of CPoS, we look forward to receiving innovative papers. They are the main ingredient to further increase the readership of the journal. We would like to thank Frans Willekens and his editorial predecessors, as well as the support of the BiB, for their excellent work in making CPoS visible to the international community. Our aim is to continue this development by maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity. We believe that our joint editorship will be a key strength: With our primary research focus at opposite ends of the life course, we are confident that we will be able to complement each other’s expertise.
